How we engaged more than 3.4 million boys and girls, over 3174 physical education instructors and coaches; and 4167 schools in the current edition

Solution

To execute Jr. NBA Basketball Development Program at our schools to drive maximum participation from across cities

The Program trains School Coaches on basics of Basketball during the NBA Coaches Academy followed by an in-school basketball program for kids where school coaches under the guidance of NBA coaches conduct basketball sessions in the schools. To further engage the kids a fortnightly Skills Challenge is conducted in each city.

Skills Challenge is a skills-based competition (dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork, lay-ups) where kids compete to qualify for the Skills Challenge Finals. The program culminates with 5v5 competitions across different zones in the city leading to the City Finals competition and Skills Challenge finale. Each participating school also receives essential equipment to encourage and facilitate participation among its students in the program.
