8 Years of building NBA brand and basketball talent in India
Jr. NBA, the world’s largest grassroots basketball program, enters India! Started small in two cities, viz. Kochi & Chandigarh, Sportz Village Xp helps scale Jr. NBA to multi-city over the years. To amplify the grassroots program, we also organized multiple events aimed at augmenting the fan base across the country: 1. Leveraging NBA’s star Kevin Durant for setting a Guinness world record and 2. Organizing a unique basketball-themed running event called Dribble-a-thon. We eventually progressed with a PAN India talent hunt program called NBA ACG jump culminating into NBA Academy as a pathway for talented children from Jr. NBA to the NBA league.
